Some concepts of bearings
Bearing axis
The theoretical axis of the rolling bearing rotates, that is, the center line of the inner ring for the centripetal bearing and the center line of the axial ring for the thrust bearing.
Shaft washer axis
The axis line of an inner cylinder or an inner cone connected to an inner cylinder or an inner cone.
3. Outer ring (housing washer)axis of outer ring (housing washer)axis of outer ring (seat washer)axis
If the outer surface of the outer ring is cylindrical, the outer surface of external cylinder axis is the axis of outer ring line, if the surface is spherical shape, basic by the external sphere sites on external surface of the ring, perpendicular to the line of the outer ring reference face, for the outer axis.
4. The cone inner ring (outer ring)axis
The axis line of the inner ring (outer ring) of a taper roller bearing.
5. The radial plane radial plane
The plane perpendicular to the axis line and parallel to the base end face of the collar or the section on the back of the washer can be regarded as the radial plane.
6. The radial radial direction
The direction of the axis line through the radial plane.
7. Axial plane axial plane
A plane containing an axis line.
8. Axial axial axial axial axial axial axial axial axial axial direction
The direction parallel to the bearing axis. The direction perpendicular to the base end face of the sleeve or the section on the back of the washer may be considered axial.
9. The radial (axial) distance radial (axial) short
The distance measured in the radial (axial) direction.
10. Contace Angle (nominal contact Angle)
The Angle between the plane (radial plane) perpendicular to the bearing axis and the resultant action line (nominal action line) transmitted to the rolling body by the bearing sleeve or washer.
Nominal contact point
The point at which the rolling body contacts the raceway surface when the bearing part is in normal relative position.
12. Reference face of a ring (a washer)
The bearing manufacturer designates the end face of the sleeve (gasket) as the datum surface, which can be used as the datum for measurement.
